Best aspects were the stunning views of the canal and the comfortable bed. Perfect for a romantic escape. Loved sitting on the balcony enjoying breakfast and drinks. Conveniently close to the city center and nearby shops and restaurants. Beautifully decorated with nice furniture and artwork.
The cleanliness issues, especially in the bathrooms. Moldy grout and corners, rusty silverware, and old towels.

Contact with the owners was brilliant and they were quick to respond to any issues. The location of the property, right by the canal, was lovely and the patio provided a great spot to relax by the water. The quirky layout of the bedrooms worked perfectly for us. The property had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We particularly enjoyed the close proximity to The Rows, the zoo, and a charming pub. we loved our stay and are already planning to return next year.
There were a couple of minor maintenance issues, but the owners were prompt in addressing them. The private parking spot was not very secure.

Located perfectly near the canal and just a short walk from the city center. The canal view from the rooms was absolutely amazing, providing a picturesque setting. Having a balcony and a canal-side garden was a huge advantage, especially for enjoying breakfast or drinks in the sun. The spaciousness of the house was impressive, with two double bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen, and two bathrooms. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the house was fantastic. The owners were very helpful and provided clear directions and parking instructions.
There were a few minor inconveniences, such as the difficulty in finding the parking spaces and the key safe in the dark. The shower in the ensuite was also problematic for one guest, and the oven settings were hard to read.

We had a fantastic stay at Canal House in Chester. Our family of three, including our 4-year-old and 8-month-old, loved the spacious and lovely house. The location on the canal was perfect for admiring the barges and enjoying the picturesque view. The property had everything we needed, including a cot and high chair for our little one. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the furnishings and lighting gave the house a wow factor. The small balcony and canal-side garden were great spots to relax. We even witnessed a special milestone as our daughter crawled for the first time during our stay.
We do recommend this hotel.

The clean and tidy decor added to the overall charm. We also appreciated the nearby supermarkets, as well as the quaint shops and cafes in the town. The easy walk to the center and proximity to attractions like Chester Zoo and Cheshire Oaks were a bonus. We've already recommended it to family and will be returning in the future.
Strongly recommend this hotel.
